Traditional archery

Traditional archery is the art of using a replica or reconstruction of a historical arch, appearance and characteristics similar to preserved historical specimens using ancient shooting techniques. In traditional archery, two styles of shooting can be distinguished: using the Mediterranean technique, as in sports archery, and using the archery ring, the so-called zekiera.

Horse archery is a separate form of traditional archery.
Sports archery has evolved from traditional archery in the nineteenth century and is now represented at the Olympic Games in this form.
